FOAM CERTIFICATIONS

GREENGUARD GOLD CERTIFIED

According to Greenguard, "Products that have achieved GREENGUARD Certification are scientifically proven to meet some of the world’s most rigorous third-party chemical emissions standards, helping to reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure." 

Greenguard Gold certification means all Balu Organic products have been test for over 360 volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and total chemical emissions. You can learn more about what those specific compounds are, the levels they need to below, and more by CLICKING HERE.

CERTI-PUR US^® 

According to CertiPUR-US^® , "The CertiPUR-US^® program was developed to provide the comfort and confidence of knowing the flexible polyurethane foam meets standards for content, emissions and durability and are analyzed by independent, accredited laboratories."

This means our Balu Organic Balu Pits & Playmats are: 

• Made without ozone depleters
• Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants
• Made without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals
• Made without formaldehyde
• Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
• Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

NON-FOAM CERTIFICATIONS

PARENT TESTED, PARENT APPROVED (PTPA)

To earn the PTPA Trust Mark, Balu Organics was tested by fifteen (10) randomly selected, anonymous parents who then provide feedback after several weeks. After the test, Balu Organics scored a perfect 100% across all testers.
